CAMJAM TIE DOWN STRAP PACKAGING

Packaging structure and graphic design for a tie down strap. The main differentiators of the product itself over similar straps are a buckle allowing multiple different tie down configurations and much higher quality materials and design.

Structure design began by competitively shopping similar products in the tie down sections of stores where this item was intended to be sold and finding that competitors all had cheap looking packaging with products completely sealed in a clamshell or plastic bag with little thought given to product presentation. As a result, the final form for the packaging makes the buckle the main focal point and keeps it accessible for shoppers to interact with on shelf. The strap is moved to the inside of the package, where it remains accessible but allows more real estate for graphics on the package front. A folding back panel adds space to show the different configurations that are possible with the strap and include other necessary information.
